SLA 2.0 Supported BIOSes for Instant Windows Vista OEM Activation
If you have read the previous articles that instruct you how to modify your BIOS to add in the required SLIC table in ACPI module in order to achieve OEM instant activation for Windows Vista without the need to activate online against Microsoft’s server, you should know that the alteration process is tedious, dangerous and not for novice. However, some good Samaritan hackers have modified the BIOS for many motherboards (mobos) from different motherboards brands and manufacturers to support SLP 2.0, and then release the BIOSes online for public free download. Here’s some of the collection of the modified BIOSes.
Warning: Alteration to BIOS may invalidate warranty, cause computer to unable to boot up or other irrecoverable effect. Do it at your own risk.
There’s plenty of ways to mod a BIOS to support OEM. All OEM BIOS below is modified to include SLIC table and Windows Marker that match Asus OEM ID and OEM Table ID unless specified otherwise.

I have an ASUS P5LD2 V 2.0 I upgraded to a Core
Duo processor and I need the 1904 bios with OEM SLIC to reinstall my copy of Vista. Does anyone have a link to this modded bios? I’ve tried to mod it myself several times but without success. I’ve included a link to the bios if someone knows how to insert the necessary SLIC tables.

Hi, I have a compaq SR1610NX, With an
MSI MS - 7184 MotherBoard
Award Bios ver 3.47 (well suppose to be)
there is a sticker on the bios that reads W7093Bh5320
i have been flashing the bios with msi ms-7093 mobo bios which is awfl855a.exe w7093ams.390 i have tried switches /pn/sn/wb/f and /py/sn/cd/cp/cc/cks/r (is there numbers i am supposed to put after the cks switch? if so where do i find them?)
my problem is checksum error - defaults loaded now with either bios installed pc still starts and works but checksum error - defaults loaded remains.
Please Help!!

After trying all the various modded BIOS’s for an ASUS A8V Deluxe, and bricking my motherboard once, I have successfully modded the latest version for this board. It worked like a charm.
Thought I would share and save someone like me some time. I mainly wanted to be able to install and reinstall my purchased copy of ultimate, both 32 and 64 bit, without the hassles of talking to someone in India.
Use at own risk and be aware that one of the BIOS’s posted for this board ‘bricked’ my motherboard, and I had to remove the flash chip and flash it in a programmer to get my board going again. Good luck.

How can I check if the latest updates (>= 0703) of BIOS for P5N-E SLI already include license information. ASUS says that SLP 2.0 is supported since version 0703.
