If you use this cracked BIOS on P5B Deluxe or WiFi and later upgrade the BIOS to v. 1212 or 1215, VISTA will cease to work and will no longer activate.

WOW, I’m impressed! You guys are really crazy – this is not pretty cheap motherboard. It costs almost the same amount of money as Vista Ultimate (I do not even speak about Home Premium, which seems to be the only working version of Windows Vista with this trick), and I wouldn’t do anything like this with the BIOS.

However, it’s your hardware, and that’s for you to decide what to do with it.

I have a asus P5B deluxe, and the activation only worked with the key BH626-XT3FK-MJKJH-6GQT2-QXQMF for a home premium version. It doesn’t match
8XPM9-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

I tried to upgrade to this biosrom
but in EZflash, there are no HD’s visible

should I create a FAT32 partition for these purposes ?
or is a CD sufficient
( no flopydrive present in the system )

i’ve tried this with the asus notebook F3JP bios, but it does not have the FC ID to replace the byte code, could someone plz help out so that i can apply to f3jp bios, do not know where to add the byte code!! cheers

don’t work here on p5b dlx wifi. ez flash says ” no boot table found” on the here posted midified bios’ any suggestions?

sorry won’t work on my dell inspiron 1300 with latest dell bios, it won’t auto activate….I tried with the cert as well, no good!!

you don’t need to mod your bios for a Dell as it already has the OEM table in it. You might need to get the latest bios from Dell, then install vista, change key to Dell OEM and insert the Dell xrm certificate. I just did it on an Acer laptop that came with XP.

I don’t know any Dell OEM keys, maybe you can google them.

So in terms of instructions, I am assuming you did the following:
1. Copy that BIOS to the C:\
2. Boot up into the BIOS and use EZ-Flash2 to flash it.
3. Boot into Windows, and flash with the official 1102 BIOS.
4. Input OEM CD-Key
5. Enjoy

Did anyone try asus commando patched bios linked in the whole list of SLP 2.0 bioses ??

I downloaded it, then flashed with ez-flash. After, riflashed original one with asus update, installed windows vista ultimate (I’ve original iso) and in admin mode on command prompt i can correctly load asus certificate, but when i put product key it says that it’s correctly inserted but under system it says windows is not activated and that product key can’t be activated.

Please help me.

Do you mean download updates? Then yes it is, I’ve installed all the MS patches and updates without a problem.

There’s no way MS update can know that your Vista isn’t a genuine OEM product at this point. And if MS do ban the OEM certificate used in this hack genuine OEM purchasers will be affected – It will be interesting to see what MS do about this
