To celebrate the general availability of Windows Vista and Office 2007, Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates will be joined by hundreds of beta testers, MVPs, Life with Windows Vista families, Microsoft customers, developers, bloggers and press from around the world in Times Square in New York City to help thank the millions of people around the world who provided input and feedback on these products, helped create Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007.

In an effort to stay competitive with revenue sharing viral video sites like Revver, Chad Hurley, co-founder of YouTube, said that his site will start sharing profits with its millions of users. The announcement was made during Hurley’s speech at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland this past Saturday. Many active YouTube users have started removing their videos and reposting them on Revver or Metacafe so they can make some money off their hard work. Revver started sharing profits with their users back in October of 2005.

Microsoft has officially name the new and redesigned user interface (UI) in Microsoft Office 2007 productivity applications as Microsoft Office Fluent, which replaces the traditional menus and toolbars found in previous releases of Microsoft Office. Microsoft Office Fluent, which more popular known as Ribbon, is a results-oriented design that enables people to focus on what they want to do rather than how to do it. New UI features will help organize and more effectively present application tools and capabilities, reduce design clutter and user interface interruptions. As a result, users can find and discover tools and features easier quicker, making Office apps easier to use. Windows Vista has strict anti-piracy and anti-counterfeit feature in the new feature called Software Protection Platform (SPP). Under SPP, Windows Production Activation (WPA) has been upgraded to version 2.0, which requires all Windows Vista system activates online against Microsoft activation services or corporate KMS (Key Management Service) server. If the Windows Vista installation is not activated within the grace period, or been validated by Windows Vista Genuine Advantage as not genuine after activation (less severe with premium features disabled and 1-hour auto logoff usage limit, not a topic of this article), Windows Vista will run in Reduced Functionality Mode (RFM), with severely limited features enabled.

Samsung recently launched its New Vision (NV) digital camera series, which consists of the NV10, NV7 OPS and NV3 models.

The company highlighted that this latest series sports new design features such as the signature blue ring around the lens and comes with an improved user interface and more advanced features. Amongst the notable features include a 2.5in 230,000-colour TFT display, Adcanced Shake Reduction (ASR), up to ISO1000 sensitivity, MPEG4 video recording and text recognition.

Comes with a compact black aluminium casing , NV10, the flagship 10.1-megapixel digicam allows users to capture still images at up to 3,648 x 2,736pixel resolution. It has a Schneider-Kreuznach lens with 3x optical zoom as well as a discreet popup flash located just above the lens that stay completely hidden when not in use.
