I don&#039;t think I need WU for anything besides security updates really. Not driver updates etc; I get more full featured ones for e.g. my graphics card directly from NVIDIA anyway, as the WU version is limited.

And being safe from any deactivations from Microsoft and their WGA updates would just be gravy. :) I wonder where their update servers are though, or if they get those updates from the official Microsoft servers. As usual I&#039;m a bit wary of these things if it&#039;s private third party servers, they can probably be shut down if MS really feels like doing that.</description>
