I have two (2) Sanyo model DVD/VHS players
and the hack codes to convert to Region Free
DO NOT WORK !

Sanyo DVW-7000 – Listed convert to Region Free
Does not work.

Sanyo DVR-1000 – Listed Convert to Region Free
Does not work.

These code are the same ones listed at dvdhack.com and they do not work. I have these models and the instructions/codes sequence does not work.

I have the same problem as King T. My Sanyo doesn’t even recognize the numbers I’m pushing (okay, it shows the 0 with a line through it). Half the movies I used to play in it now show up Region Undefined. Anybody figure it out yet?

I was looking for an answer to the same question…there is a button labeled Safe on the remote (left side, 2nd from the bottom) that will take care of this problem…if you’re still dealing with it after a year lol

Thanks Ratboy for the help with my dvd dx516. Was totally flummoxed after it wouldnt play a region 2 dvd (im in Oz) and since i entered the numbers it plays it just fine!
