Solution to Windows Vista Activation Countdown Timer Stopper (TimerStop) Not Working with ReArm Patch
If you crack Windows Vista activation with StopTimer patched service that stop the countdown timer of the activation grace period, and thus making the time left to activate Windows Vista is always 30 days, the steps in the tutorial guide should be able to permanently (well, sort of as time left is always 30 days or 43200 minutes) activate your Windows Vista, or freeze Windows Vista in an initial state that fooling or tricking Microsoft into thinking that your installation of Windows Vista is just happen, and still in the initial grace period. The trick should work out-of-the-box the first time, but if it fails, or starts counting timer again after Automatic Updates, try the following solution.
- You will need the exactly same tools that used to apply StopTimer or TimerStopper, i.e. Re-Arm_Unlimited_Installer_2.0.exe, TimerStop.sys and Vista test crack.exe (download StopTimer.zip or Vista_test_crack.zip).
- Uninstall TimerStop process beforehand by right clicking on “Vista test crack.exe” and select “Run as Administrator”, and then click on “Uninstall”.
- You should see a “Service uninstalled” confirmation dialog message. Restart computer afterwards.
- Install “Re-Arm_Unlimited_Installer_2.0.exe”. Do not restart computer.
- Right click on Command Prompt icon, and select “Run as Administrator”, or run “Cmd” command as administrator. If you have problem, you can turn off UAC.
- Type “slmgrhack -rearm” in command prompt window. Wait until process completed.
- Reboot computer.
- After start, go to Command Prompt as administrator again, and type “slmgr.vbs -dlv”. You should notice that the timer starts counting down again.
- Right click on “Vista test crack.exe”, and select “Run as Administrator”.
- In Vista test crack window, click on “Install” button.
- You should see “Service installed” to confirm successful installation.
- Exit from all program and reboot computer.
- Start command prompt or Cmd as administrator, and type “slmgrhack -rearm”. Wait until the process completed.
- Restart computer.
- Press Win + R keys, and type “slmgr.vbs -dlv” and press Enter to check the activation countdown timer. If your “Time left to activate” Windows Vista field shows “43200 minutes (30 days)”, your bypass Windows Vista activation has been successful.

I did not use any updates, its always deactivated, why the time stopper has just expired and the countdown began to work again.

HEY I HAVE THE had the same problem as Codi, when i istalled the time stopper crack it worked perfectly but then after a computer restart (not with udpdates) the time left went down to 41125 minutes. THen i restarted again and it went down again to 41073. Does anyone know why this is happeneing. THANXS IN ADVANCE

For Vista Ultimate x64 fans:
There is a newer version of the TimerStop crack for x64. I found it in eMule with name TimerStop_V2a and uploaded here http://depositfiles.com/files/530506 (probably this will get banned quickly). The crack works only if you have not used up your 3 times rearm limit. Otherwise you have to format, install Vista again with BIOS date set to 2099, rearm once with slmgr without reboot, set date back today, run in admin command line “bcdedit -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS” and “bcdedit -set testsigning on”, install the crack and finally reboot. This is what I actually did and it freezes the timer to 43200 minutes.
BTW the slmgrhack.vbs seems to be useless because it does not rearm more than 3 times in x64 (I don’t know for x86).
As with all cracks USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

In Vista x64 the slmgrhack.vbs script is located in c:\windows\SysWOW64 instead of system32. So you have to open a command prompt window, change to this directory and then run slmgrhack -rearm. This will rearm your windows with another 30 days of initial grace period.
The TimerStop.sys file does not work in Vista x64. That’s why you see the timer counting down. So you will have to rearm at least once every 30 days.

“slmgrhack -rearm” does not work for me…
“slmgr -rearm” does.
But when I use the second the timer continues and won’t reset after restarting my computer.
I run Vista Ultimate x64
Anybody suggesytions???
