Hack to Unlock Durabrand DVD Players Region Code

If you own a DVD player from Durabrand, private product brand of Wal-Mart, you can use the following hack to unlock the Durabrand DVD players’ region code so that the DVD player can plays any DVD-video discs regardless of the discs’ region code. In other word, the unlock DVD player hack set the Durebrand DVD player to become multiregion, or region free.

  1. Power and switch on the Durabrand DVD player.
  2. Open the DVD disc tray tray or lid.
  3. Press Stop.
  4. Press 3 - 5 - 9 - 7 (3597 in sequence). Can be done on remote control.
  5. Hidden DVD Region menu appears. Select region 0 or 9 using up or down button on remote control.
  6. Press OK.
  7. Close the disc tray and press Standby on the DVD player front

The above unlock DVD player region code trick should works on models including Durabrand DVD-1000, Durabrand DVD-1005, Durabrand DVM1418c, Durabrand LCDTV cum DVD player model PVS 21175S1 and others DVD players from Durabrand.

If the above unlock region code hack doesn’t work, or if you’re using Durabrand Car DVD Player model PVS1966, Durabrand PVS1960, Durabrand PVS1680, Durabrand PVS1970, Durabrand PVS223, Durabrand STS75E, Durabrand Dual-7B or Durabrand Dual-7BL, try the following unlock code instead.

  1. Power on the DVD player.
  2. Open the DVD disc tray or lid.
  3. Press 8 - 1 - 3 - 2 - 8 (81328 in sequence) on remote control.
  4. In DVD region code menu, press Enter until come to region 9 (or 0)
  5. Press Play.
  6. Close the DVD tray or lid.

For Durabrand Dual-900, try the following DVD multi-region or region free unblock sequence instead.

  1. Press Open to open disc tray.
  2. Press Clear.
  3. Press 1 - 3 - 6 - 9 - 0 (13690 in sequence).
  4. Press Standby button. After pressing, the DVD disc tray will close and DVD player will switch off).
  5. Press Standby button again to power up the DVD player.

Note: To set back the DVD player to region 1 if you’re using above unlock hack, simply press 13691 in sequence. The 0 or 1, the last digit in the key sequence is actually the digit to determine which region code you’re going to set on the DVD player. You can set to other region code by changing the last digit to 2, 3, 9 or other valid region code number.

For Durabrand DP305, try the following DVD region code unlock hack instead.

  1. Turn on the DVD player.
  2. Press Open/Close button to open the disc tray.
  3. Press Setup.
  4. Press 8 - 8 - 8 - 8 (8888 continuously).
  5. Press Next.
  6. Go to “Version and select a region code. Select 0 for all region or 9 for region free.
  7. Press Play.

The below trick should be able to unlock the region restriction on Durabrand DUR1700 DVD player.

  1. Turn on the DVD player.
  2. Press Setup.
  3. Go to “Preferences”.
  4. Press Play.
  5. Enter 2 - 5 - 1 - 5 - 3 - 5 (251535 in continuous sequence of keys).
  6. Press Left, Down.
  7. The current region code will be displayed.
  8. Press 0 for region free.

Note that if you select “Region 0″ which allows DVD players to plays all DVD-Video discs from Regions 1-6, some DVDs which are incorporated with “Regional Coding Enhancement” or RCE protection system will refuse to play in such machine.

    Using the Remote Control Press 3 5 9 7 3 5
    Select 0 (Zero) For Region Free (MULTIREGION) or 1 ~ 6 For Region Specific if Required

    the hack for my durabrand dvd combi works and I thank you for it !!

    The hack is :-

    open / clear / 1-3-6-9-0 / stanby / stanby.

    (using the remote)

    My model is the ADB2737BD VCR/DVD COMBI.
