Hack to Activate Windows Vista with VLK Product Key with Patched KMS Server
Microsoft has implemented an upgraded and more secured version of volume activation technology version 2.0 for corporate customers who use volume license key (VLK) to activate the Windows Vista or Windows Server ‘Longhorn’ installed. Volume Activation 2.0 features Key Management Service (KMS) server or host that contains KMS key that supplies to Windows Vista clients that connect to the KMS server and activate the clients or renew the activation once every 180 days. This ability make the life of system administrators easy, but also open the door for piracy with fake, patch or open KMS server used to activate Windows Vista machine over the public Internet.
Windows Connected reported that rogue KMS servers has appeared on the Internet, together with information and step-by-step instruction guide on how to activate a copy of Windows Vista VL (volume license) against the server. Once activated your illegal copy of Windows Vista will be good for 180 days before it needs to talk to the KMS server again.
Tutorial and step-by-step guide to activate Windows Vista with KMS host hack/trick:
- Install Windows Vista Business Edition (the KMS server is meant for corporate users so it can activate Windows Vista Business or Enterprise edition) by using default volume license (VL) product key for Vista Business retail edition (i.e. YFKBB-PQJJV-G996G-VWGXY-2V3X8), do not leave the field without using any serial key or skip input of volume license product key.
- When Windows installation and setup complete, setup Internet access.
- Right click on Command Prompt icon and select “Run as Admin” to launch the Command Prompt with Administrative privilege.
- In the Command Prompt window, type the following commands:
cscript C:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -skms kms.vbs.net.cn
You will see:

Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.Key Management Service machine name set to kms.vbs.net.cn successfully
cscript C:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -ato
The commands will activate Windows Vista Edition against kms.vbs.net.cn KMS server (setup by individual user which availability and reliability are not certain, another alternative KMS host is vbs.net.cn). It’s a private KMS server for Volume License 2.0a activation but have been setup by individual and released to public Internet usage.
- If there is error, disable the Windows Vista’s firewall, or check out this page for possible resolution.
- To check the activation status, use the following command:
cscript C:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -dlv
If successful activation, you will see screen like this:

After the VLK is verified in KMS host, the Windows Vista client will be activated and can be used for 180 days, and requires re-activation once every 180 days. If after the activation expires, and the client doesn’t activate again in 30 days grace period, Windows Vista will go into reduced functionality mode. Beside, Windows Vista Ultimate edition is unable to activated by this way.
Another problem is whether there is any open public KMS servers around on the Internet for activation, as using KMS server in the public domain is illegal. As most public KMS servers are setup by individual users who may need 25 clients to activate his or her own copy of Vista, so the availability of the public Internet KMS host is very uncertain. The fact is that many KMS servers have came and taken down such as peterpwq.vicp.net:1688, sito.kmip.net, binbin.xicp.net:1688, 220.133.135.222 and 59.39.163.239:1688 (1688 is the default port for KMS activation, and can be skipped). However, you can setup and create your own KMS server (if you don’t have extra computer, VMWare or Virtual PC virtual machine can be used) and invite others to activate the Windows Vista together by using that KMS host, as KMS server requires at least 25 computers in order to start activating any of the Vista machines.

has anyone noticed if you goto a command proimpt and type:
cscript C:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -rearm
it resets the 30 day eval on all version, i have been doing this like once a week since i had it installed and it’s still happy…. seems like if some one wrote a startup script for that command it’d run forever as long as you restarted once every 30day (remeber XP Reset Crack) HINT HINT

helle my fellow frnds,i am using windows vista ultimate,it now says 23 days to activate, in the past 7 days i have tried every possible crack availabe on the internet.Sometimes it even went to the extent of expiring my trial period but i somehow manageg to get it back to the same place.
Can somebody please show me the real way of how to activate windows vista ultimate build 6000 RTM. I have tried the kms server thingie and nothing seems to work..God, Some one like God please help me activate my windows….

Hi tony, error 0×800706BA when activate Windows Vista is due to no product key or incorrect product key entered when install Windows Vista. The solution is to open command prompt with administrator rights, and key int the following command:
cscript C:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -ipk YFKBB-PQJJV-G996G-VWGXY-2V3X8
If it’s not working, try to reinstall the Windows Vista with the product key.

the windows update works fine. Im trying to conenct to that guys server to activate my windows.
i did what he said. I opened the CMD with adminastrator and typed
cscript C:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -skms peterpwq.vicp.net:1688
and i get the error
ERROR 0×800706ba occured in connecting to server -skms.
Error description: The RPC server is unavaible. .
so how do i fix this. i want to activate my winws ultimate asap

For error 0×800706ba, try the following. However, for your case, most likely it’s related to KMS server. Do you specify the correct KMS host? May be try again later if the kms has down.
Step 1: Verify the local Windows Update services
================================================
You can also first stop the service and then restart them to test the issue.
1. Click Start->Run, type “services.msc” (without quotation marks) in the open box and click OK.
2. Double click the service “Automatic Updates”.
3. Click on the Log On tab, please ensure the option “Local System account” is selected and the option “Allow service to interact with desktop” is unchecked.
4. Check if this service has been enabled on the listed Hardware Profile. If not, please click the Enable button to enable it.
5. Click on the tab “General “; make sure the “Startup Type” is “Automatic”. Then please click the button “Start” under “Service Status” to start the service.
6. Please repeat the above steps with the other two services:
Background Intelligent
Transfer Service Event log
Note: Event log service is enabled on all of the hardware profiles; this service does not have an option to enable or disable on certain hardware profiles.
Step 2: Check the background programs

NOTE: If you are running Ad-aware, ZoneAlarm, PC-Cillin, Norton Antivirus, Norton Internet Security, Norton Personal Firewall, Sygate Personal Firewall, Microsoft Personal Firewall, Proxomitron pop-up blocker, Ad Muncher or a web accelerator, e.g. “Slipstream”, it is recommended that you to TEMPORARILY disable or shut down any of these before accessing the Windows Update site. Be sure to enable them again when you complete the update process. If this does not help, please perform the next step.
Step 3: Clean up Windows Update temporary folder
============================================
One possible cause is that the temporary folder for Windows Update contains corrupted files. Erase all the files there to get the system clean.
1. Click Start, Run, type: cmd and press Enter. Please run the following command in the opened window.
Net stop WuAuServ
2. Click Start, Run, type: %windir% and press Enter.
3. In the opened folder, rename the folder SoftwareDistribution to Sdold.
4. Click Start, Run, type: cmd and press Enter. Please run the following command in the opened window.
Net start WuAuServ
Step 4: Rename CatRoot2 folder

1. Close all the open windows.
2. Click Start->Run, type: %windir% and press Enter.
3. Locate and open the System32 folder.
4. Find the CatRoot2 folder, right-click on it, and select RENAME. Change the name to CR2OLD. Make sure you press Enter after typing in the new name, so the changes are executed.
5. Close this window.
6. Go back to the Microsoft Windows Update Website and check the result there.
