How to Delete or Cancel MySpace Account or Profile?
Getting bored of MySpace? Or too scare of scam and spam? Or parents want to delete or remove the MySpace accounts and MySpace profiles of their children in order to protect them from unnecessary privacy issues, security threats and online predators risks? Canceling and deleting the MySpace account is a simple process, although you will need to confirm your deletion intention for several times. Below is the tutorial and guide on how to delete or cancel a MySpace account. Just follow the instruction to complete the task to remove the profile from MySpace and delete the account.
- Login to the MySpace account that you want to delete (You need to have the password to access and login to the MySpace account that you want to cancel or delete).
- After login to MySpace, you will see a few options such as Edit Profile, Account Settings, Add/Edit Photos, Add/Change Videos, Manage Calendar, Manage Blog and Manage Address Book right after the greeting, right beside your photo (or “No Photo” if you haven’t upload any photo).
- Click on “Account Settings”.
- Click on “Cancel Account”,located beside “View My Profile” and “Edit My Profile” to make your account no longer exists.
- You will see a warning message: Cancelling your MySpace account will PERMANENTLY REMOVE all of your profile from MySpace, including your photographs, comments, journals, and your personal friend network information cannot be restored. Confirm Cancel Account by clicking on “Cancel My Account” to avoid accidental deletion.
- You will then given an option to stop notification emails from MySpace without cancelling the account if you’ve been bothered by amount of emails received from other users on MySpace. Ignore that, and optionally, key in your Cancellation Comments. Click on “Cancel My Account” again to double confirm deletion request.
- You will see an Account Cancellation Request Sent page. And MySpace will now email you with an instruction to complete cancellation of MySpace account. So login to your email account used to register with MySpace.
- Check for and open the email from MySpace in your inbox with title “MySpace account cancellation request – please confirm”.
- Click on the confirmation link in the email.
- After clicking on the cancellation request link in the email, a web page will be opened with explanation on why you receive that email. If you regret your previous decision to cancel your member account on MySpace, and now want to keep your account, simply do nothing and close the page plus delete the cancellation request email. Else click on Cancel My Account button again to confirm and delete or remove the MySpace account forever.
- The MySpace account registered to your email address is been scheduled for cancellation and will take effect within 48 hours.

i want to delete my myspace and i’ve been trying to for the last three weeks but I haven’t been recieving an e-mail to followed the instructions on how to delete it? and i’m not really sure where I get that e-mail? please respond to this fast.

What do you do when the e-mail account is defunct (no longer works)????? I used to have Comcast, but now I don’t. The e-mail address I used is a Comcast address and it does not work anymore. HELP!!!

I figured it out! If you’re having problems deleting the account because you aren’t receiving emails, then I have a solution. Log into your Myspace and at the very bottom of the page there are a series of links. One of the last links should say “international myspace.” Click on that, and then choose the United States (even if you aren’t in the U.S.) and then go home and to account settings and delete your account. You should get the email after that; I did. If that doesn’t work, then I’m all out of answers.

I, too have been having problems deleting my account. I’ve tried for about a month and I’ve never gotten an email. I’ve tried two different email addresses and myspace has been added to the ’safe list’ of on both accounts. I’ve checked in the spam and junk folders and the email is not there. I even emailed the Myspace “tech support” about my problem and I’ve received no answer. I’m really starting to get annoyed. If I ever figure out how to delete it another way, I’ll post it here.

I have been trying for a week solid to cancel my Myspace account. I have gone as far as to delete all content such as photo’s and comments and info and added “Remove Profile” in the “about me” section as instructed by another website. still nothing happens.
I know all the details of my space such as email password, the problem lies with myspace. They will not send me the notification email. I have been regularly checking my junk mail also. They are obviously having issues.
Does anyone have any other ideas on how to delete a profile.

They say its 48 hours and its been a week and I notice my profile is still actively on there only you cant log into it, and says im 0 year old and just deleted graphics but still on all of my old friend’s pages, it is frustrating and I can’t believe they ask for a letter of resignation! Its like the Hotel California, you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave!

what if you delete your profile—i heard of other people recieving blog subscription update emails after they deleted their profile. Isn’t this impossible and how likely is it? I am scaredddd.
