[...] Firefox 2.0 is the latest free web browser from Mozilla Foundation. Firefox 2 features a lot of improvements, bug fixes and new features compared with previous Firefox version 1.5. Among the features include improved tabbed browsing, built-in spell checker, search suggestions, Session Restore and reopen tabs, web feeds or RSS support, Live Title, integrated search, Live Bookmarks, pop-up blocker, streamlined interface, phishing protection, automatic update, spyware protection by rejecting automatic installation by websites and has thousands of add-ons or extensions or plugins to customize the Firefox web browser. Linux reviews Firefox 2 and concludes that “after using Firefox release candidates and the final version, I have run into only one consistent bug worth noting. By default, Firefox is configured to open links that would spawn a new window in a tab instead. This in itself isn’t a glitch, but the fact that Firefox keeps resetting this behavior after I specifically tell it to open the links in a window rather than a tab is annoying. I’m not sure what triggers the reset, but each time I check in Firefox’s Tab preferences dialog, the radio box for “a new window” is still checked. Changing this to “a new tab” and then back again solves the problem, but only for a little while.” [...]

[...] FireFox web browser has a neat feature called tabbed browsing where users can surf the Internet and loads the Web pages in separate tabs of a single browser window without the need to open multiple browser windows that filling up the taskbar and messing up the desktop space. But tabbed browser also have higher chance of user unknowingly or accidentally closes a tab which he or she still wants to browse. If the web page in that tab contains important information or valuable works, and not been bookmarked, then the user might have hard time trying to find back the website or page link location URL again. To avoid this problem, FireFox users can use and upgrade to FireFox 2, which has improved tabbed browsing features. Among the features is ability for users to re-open an accidentally closed tab by using a shortcut Ctrl+Shift+T, or by right clicking on the tab bar, the select “Undo Close Tab”. FireFox 2 will cache and keep track of a list of recently closed tabs in the History menu so that after the web page in the tab has been closed, but FireFox can still retrieves it and displays the web page on the new tab. [...] FireFox 2, the new version of open source web browser from Mozilla Foundation, has a lot of new features and enhancements that intend to let users have nicer experience and more enjoyment when surfing the Internet. One of the features which similar to Internet Explorer 7 is FireFox tabs scrolling, where a fixed number of tabs will appear on the FireFox tab bar, with the rest of the tabs will slide to the background, accessible by clicking on scroll arrows on both side of the browser window tab bar when users open too many web pages as tabs. The feature is good to maintain readable tab title. FireFox 2 use minimum width of tab setting to determine if the browser window should hide the extra tabs on the FireFox tab bar in order to maintain the minimum width of the tabs that appear on the FireFox window. If FireFox unable to maintain the tab minimum width, it will “slide” or hide the left-most or right-most tab into background, and display an scroll arrow on either side of the browser tab strip to indicate that there are more tabs available. Users can then use the scroll arrows, or a button on the right side that always show all open tabs in an easy-to-read list to scroll access or jump to the destination tabs. [...]

[...] Mozilla Foundation has released the latest version of popular web browser - FireFox 2.0. FireFox 2 features new features and enhancements for better users web experience. With the FireFox 2 enhanced tabbed browsing, users will now has new web pages opened in tabs by default, and when users have too many tabs opened, a scroll arrows will appear on either side of tabs slide, allowing users to switch (or scroll) to other open tabs. A button on the right side will displays an easy-to-read list of all open tabs. Beside, each tabs has its own close button too, just like in IE7. If you don’t like the new feature of close button appears on each and every tabs, or fear that you may accidently close a tab (you can actually re-open closed tabs from “Recently Closed Tabs” in History menu to bring it back to FireFox browser, of course, without any unsaved work), or have been too familiar or just want back or revert to the old FireFox 1.5 style of tabbed browsing close button at the end of the Tab bar, you can modify a setting to instruct FireFox to hide the close button on the tabs itself and display the close button at the end of the bar instead.
