Remove, Bypass, Patch and Disable Microsoft Windows Genuine Advantage WGA Validation version 1.5.708.0 with LegitCheckControl.dll Crack
Microsoft has released Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool version 1.5.708.0 which consists of LegitCheckControl.dll and LegitCheckControl.inf that is installed to whoever that wants to download WGA-protected downloads and software from Microsoft Download Center such as Internet Explorer 7 RC1 (Windows XP SP2), Windows Defender (Beta 2), DirectX End-User Runtime, Windows Media Player 10 and 11 Beta, Windows Installer 3.1 Redistributable, Photo Story 3 and other Windows Genuine Advantage special offers. The latest version of WGA Validation Tool is installed when you try to perform Windows validation even though you already have hacked or patched version of LegitCheckControl.dll installed.
WGA LegitCheckControl.dll version 1.5.708.0 has different structure from previous version and cannot be ‘upgraded’ by simply change the version info from the existing patched LegitCheckControl.dll. However, one reader Danny has contributed a cracked and patched version of LegitCheckControl.dll which is able to bypass and disable genuine Windows validation check to download the WGA-restricted downloads from Microsoft Download Center, beside performing Windows update.
- LCC_DLL.zip which consists of cracked and fixed LegitCheckControl.dll version 1.5.708.0 and LegitCheckControl.inf can be downloaded from
here(link deleted due to complaint from Microsoft). - Launch Windows Explorer, navigate to \Windows\System32 folder, and delete LegitCheckControl.dll file. (Note: If you unable to delete the file, restart your PC into Safe Mode, and try again)
- Copy the extracted files from the downloaded ZIP to \Windows\System32 folder. If you haven’t delete LegitCheckControl.dll, simply replace the existing DLL.
- If you’re in Safe-Mode, restart your computer now.
- Click on Continue (Validation Required) button to continue to download page to download your desired software.
If the patched LegitCheckControl.dll above is not working, you may try to get Helios’ instructions on changing Windows VLK product key on IE and Windows respectively, so that there is Cryptographic Errors Detected on MGADiag.exe in order to bypass validation on Download Center.
Alternatively, download the dp-XPgen15708auto (removed due to complaint from Microsoft) by renaTgaD from Desperate TCG. It’s a fixed exe which mean it’s the WGA installer contains patched version 1.5.708.0 of LegitCheckControl.dll (WgaLogon.dll and WgaTray.exe stay at v1.5.540.0). After download, just close any web browser and run the installer to install fixed version of WGA.
There is also crack and hack from Team ETH0 which most likely will enable you to run Windows Update (Microsoft Update) and remove any nag screen only. Download the WGA 157080c (removed due to complaint from Microsoft) and run the installer.bat batch file.
Beside, if you still facing problem, try to use direct download link location URL to download directly from Microsoft, bypassing all WGA validation check.
Feedback on usability at the comments section.
Note: There may be secondary genuine validation check built into program installer that will trigger during installation. Just search within the site for workarounds by bypassing the validation check.

okay guys im kinda new at all this im 16 lol but dont take my age into account i’ve learned alot about computers thru my 16 yesasr on this wonderfully computer hackable planet of ours
and you kno i got a no key windwos torrent for XP i originally had the same WGA problem as you have now and i found my self digging thru sytem 32 in the C directory and i stumbled upon the WGA registry file it records everything the WGA does when it starts up and what not and it happened to mention the file that starts up WGA in the first place it is
spupdrcv or some shit delete that file restart your comp and it doesnt pop up on log in or anything no annoy9ing thing at the bottom of the screen nothing IT COMPLETLY HAULTS THE PROGRAM FROM POPPING UP
now of course i doubt that this deletion will bypass WGA but it does get rid of the program altogether and
for your internet explorer problems buy a flash drive there cheap as hell at walmart like 10 dollars and use someone elses comp and dl the INTERNET EXPLORER 8 I REPEAT 8 the one that is compatible with XP and save the setup on your flashdrive take put in the WGA problematic comp and install internet explorer 8 on there and it works fine for me when its done installing and you try to open it opens and it asks you what settings to use use express

Look at all the ones complaining.
Microsofts’ idea was to create a universal operating system, and have the whole world use it, so they made $$$$.
They got what they wanted – a world based on Windows & it’s messing around. In all things, there are those who will pay & those who will avoid paying.
If it wasn’t for pirated copies, Microsoft would be about as well known as the 3rd tree on the left, in the Black Forest, Germany.
The reality is, pirated copies get them well-known, a household name by reputation. People then go out and buy a new PC once they are used to it all, and it comes with a purchased COA lable & microsoft still get there $$$.
Simple fact – in the world of software, piracy appears to take possible profit from you, but it actually helps you get famous (or infamous)
and with fame, comes more legit customers who don’t understand/believe in/realise about piracy.
It all works as it should. If microsoft didn’t agree with this logic, they’d simply lock every PC that failed a vaildation instantly, and automaically erase the core XP/VISTA files without hesitation/question.

I also recently re-intalled windows and now sp2 requres the validation. I’ve tried replacing the legitcheckcontrol.dll with dan’s version, but upon validating my copy of windows it failed. I will try helios post (20 i think) but any other suggestion would be great; especially since wga has been updated to a new version

the post u told me to check is all about bypassing WGA unless i missed something.
well my prob is that i can’t install WMP11 or XmlLite.exe and Nlsdll.exe and Idnl.exe cuz my PC restarts when i double click on them except WMP it restarts after Validation i.e. during copying files.
i was able to install Windows Defender and even IE7 without Tabs (cuz it needs xmllite.dll)

hey my prob is that i cannot install IE7 and WMP11 normally.
i mean after validation is passed there is that agreement…and then it creates a restore point and when it starts copying files my PC *tok*
restarts….
i also tried doing the installation by running the executable from the temporary extracted files (wmp11.exe and ie7.exe) i was able to copy the files but when i run any other .exe files corresponding to that application (XmlLitesetup.exe or Nlsdl.exe, etc.)

I could not update now(windows update)! There is always an error asking for administrator and network so so! Latest LegitCheckControl applied. Looks like Microsoft has a new blocker.

You can google for ways to crack the XP WPA, or try download the WPAKill (or WPA killer) anti wpa program and execute the WPA_Kill.exe after boot up to Safe Mode. You may need to copy wpakiller to floppy to run it.

Other alternatives are (again, not sure whether it will works):
Start regedit and delete the following keys:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\Providers
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-20\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\Providers
Restart computer.
Or,
Reboot your computer into “Safe Mode” and go to Start > Run and type: %systemroot%\system32 and then press the Enter key. Locate and rename the two files: wpa.dbl and wpa.bak to to wpaold.dbl and wpa.bak to wpaold.bak. Then reboot. This remove the activation info, so you likely have to activate again.
It’s wise that you backup the files or registry before doing any changes.

Try this, but I am not sure if this help or not.
Boot into “Safe Mode” by pressing (F8) during a reboot.
Go to Start > Run and type: “regsvr32 regwizc.dll”, and hit enter.
Then go again to Start > Run and type: “regsvr32 licdll.dll”, and hit enter again.

But now when I want to log on my system the following message appears: “This copy of Windows must be activated with Microsoft before you can log on. Do a system restore immediately from the point prior making the key update as there is still a big possibility that the restore point is not yet overwritten. Mine, I got screwed as the restore point was already oveerwritten. I will be trying a repair install and revert to the generated VLK keys. I am hoping it will work. WTF! One word of advice stick to your generated VLK keys DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THE CD KEYS AS PROVIDED ABOVE.
I OBSERVED THAT EVERY TIME YOU MAKE A SYSTEM RESTORE ONE DAY IS TAKEN AWAY FROM THE 30-DAY GRACE PERIOD.

Did what ghost68 advised, now I am screwed with the activation. Have checked with Sisoft Sandra 2007 status of OS and it indicated that the CD key (ghost68 had provided) is actually for demo purposes only. That is why, the CD key is regarded genuine. If you have not made a Restore Point prior the key update, you are out of luck by now otherwise do a system restore immediately.

Ok, Everything FINALLY WORKED after the TWO Steps needed for WMP11 Beta 2:
1. Extract WMP11
2. Replace the LegitLibM.dll
3. Download a patched version of LegitCheckControl.dll with the LegitCheckControl.inf
4. Replace the new files in Windows/System32
5. Run the wmp setup.exe that you extracted, and it magically works yay!

I’ve tried this method (putting the dll+inf) and it works fine! You can use windowsupdate + download files from MS.

and delete all the results u wouldn be able to delete to of them change there name and restart then do the same drill and delete them.

If you are using a VLK key that Microsoft blocks, you might find my experience useful.
This is how I managed to pass validation at the download site, with Danny’s patched LegitCheckControl.dll in place.
You need the following:
2 blocked VLKs.
Microsoft’s diagnostic tool MGADiag.exe (see post #16)
ProduKey.exe, available here: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/produkey.zip
Keyfinder.exe, available here: http://www.magicaljellybean.com/downloads/kf151.zip
1. Run MGADiag.exe (I configured my firewall to prevent it from accessing the Internet) and check the validation status of your OS. If it says “Blocked VLK” then continue.
2. Run ProduKey.exe and check that both IE and XP have the same key. This is normal.
3. Run Keyfinder.exe and check which of your VLKs is displayed. Then, from the ‘Options’ list select ‘Change Windows Key”. Enter your other VLK and click ‘Change’.
4. Run ProduKey.exe again. This time IE and XP should have different product keys displayed.
5. Run MGADiag.exe again. This time the status should be “Cryptographic Errors Detected”.
6. Visit Microsoft’s download site and try your luck!

I have the “Blockedd VLK” and 1.5.0708.0 In Windows Update works without a glitch, but in Download Center NO!
The problem with all the patches until now is in the Download Center. This suggest that MS is using a different approach of validation…

Both patched LegitCheckControl.dll 1.5.708.0 available here from Swissboy and from Danny seem to work for some people and do not work for other people for the purpose of WGA Validation for Download Center & for Windows Update.
Anyway, the KB905474 patch from Swissboy is still working OK for overriding WGA Notifications.
Well, I found the following:
It seems like the patched 1.5.708.0 dlls work or do not work depending on the Windows Key you are using. I tried changing several Keys.
Tested each installed key with the M$ tool MGADiag.exe (MGADiag.exe).
When the Windows Key you are using is informed by this tool as “Blocked VLK”, the patched 1.5.708.0 dlls do not work neither with Download Center nor with Windows Update (you get to the “Not Genuine” page).
When the Windows Key you are using is informed by this tool as “Invalid Key”, the patched 1.5.708.0 dlls do work OK either with Download Center or with Windows Update.
I don’t know the difference. Does anybody?
I can assure I tested several keys and the behavior seems to be always the same.

I have tried this patch and it should works. If you can replace the DLL without going to safe mode, try to play round to restart the PC and/or IE.

Sorry to say this didn’t work for me either, even though previous versions of cracked LegitCheckControl.dll have in the past. In the case of this 780 version I’m still getting nonGenuine errors and being unable to download.

The file in my download is LegitCheckControl.inf
I assume you have made and repeated a typo.

Didn’t work for me.
I still get the same “This copy of Windows is not genuine” message. The ‘patched’ LegitCheckControl.dll has not been replaced by the validation procedure.
