It’s nice that we can turn off pasting of formatting each time we paste, but is there an option to do it permanently? Copy something from a program other than Word, open Word, create a new macro and assign Ctrl+V as its keyboard shortcut, go to the edit menu and paste the contents of your clipboard, stop your macro recording. Oops! Oups! Forgot to mention that when you paste while recording your macro, you should select the “Keep Text Only” smart tag.
