Desta digo com toda certeza a melhor e a VX-3000, a VX-6000 foi uma grande e cara decepção, a imagem é ruim e o controle de luminosidade o soft é sofrivel a NX 3000 é muito similar a VX3000 sem controle de foco, mas é rapida e com boa imagem.

1. Open Windows Explorer in the folder where the camera’s programs were installed. Usually, this will be C:\Program Files\Microsoft LifeCam.

2. In that folder, locate the IcePick.exe file and rename it to something else (e.g., IcePick.ex_ or IcePick.exe.bak).

The button is already disabled at this point, but a third step is necessary, otherwise the driver will reinstall itself (asking for the CD, etc.) when you access the “Properties” window (to adjust brightness, etc.), and it will restore the original IcePick.exe, undoing what you did. To prevent that:

3. Create an empty file (size = 0 bytes) and name it IcePick.exe. To create an empty file, you can, for example, right-click on Windows Explorer’s right pane and create a new text file, then rename it and confirm that you want to change the extension. DON’T OPEN IT, otherwise Windows will try to execute the file and God knows what will happen. The file size MUST BE ZERO.

That’s it, the button is dead.

Also, check the driver version on the CD, especially if you are using Vista. The CD is most likely outdated. Only driver versions 1.3 and later are Vista-compatible. As of this writing, the latest one is 1.4. It’s better to check on Microsoft’s web site if you have the current version.
