Criss Angel Walks on Water Magic Tricks
Criss Angel born Christopher N. Sarantakos is an American musician, magician, illusionist, escapologist, stunt performer, and the creator and director of the Criss Angel Mindfreak television series on A&E Network. Now he is trying to simulate and replay what Jesus Christ did more than 2000 years ago, by walking on water, in a magic and illusion performance that’s stunning.
What’s the secret of Criss Angel walks on water magic trick? How he does it? The secret will most likely points to illusion and camera video editing. The most convincing explaination to the trick is that Criss Angel was walking on some kind of floating device, or plexiglass, or transparent plastic bridge, or glass path, or vertical poles, which may have some gaps for swimmers to occasionally swin across it. Some also suggested that wires support was been used to hang him, which may be positioned under his arm, especially on the first 25 seconds or so. For all these tricks and optical illusion to happen, so all the ‘audiences’ and ’swimmers’ in the vidoe are actually the actors in the magic that were hired to add realistic and believable feel. The video may be edited by using CGI to hide the think platform in the water.
Some even suggested that the shots were taken on different times that is edited together to give you that illusion of reality. The theory is that because at some times he demonstrated no weight hitting the surface, while on the far away shots, his weight is visible as he hits a surface. Another theory is that the toes on his back foot bend as walking on a flat surface, while on another sequence of the video which supposedly shot from Criss Angel’s camera as he looks down while walking, his toes no longer bend.
Some interesting points highlighted from the video on the magic are:
- Criss Angel walked on his heels and his pant hung down and covered the heels.
- His walking style looks unreal and unnatural on the front part of the magic.
- The girl in red bikini swam underneath the water instead of crossing the path.
- Water line on his pants changed, if you believe that the magic sequence was shot in multiple times.
- A girl crossed between his legs after he took down his shoes, so the area may be without any platform.
- In some shots, Criss Angel didn’t show weight hitting or weight shifting when stepped down, which made suspension possible.
- His feet seemed like not stay in a position when stepping.

I am somewhat sadend at the fact there are people out there the truly believe that this stuff is real, and think he truly walked on water, walked through glass, seperated bodies, and so on. Then find it impossible that Jesus existed and did things, FOR REAL. Chis Angel, should say at the beginning of his show that this is all an illusion, he is very good at what he does, and only does it for entertainment, if it were real, he would be helping people rather then just making them amazing with how he did it.

Criss Angel CLEARLY cannot actually walk on water, get sawed in half, or make an elephant actually disappear, but at the same time you cannot say that he’s fake. He is a magician/illusionist, that’s all there is to it. He is an entertainer. He does not have superpowers. However, he is still an absolutely incredible magician, one of the best there has ever been. I believe that his tricks are not achieved through camera tricks, and i also believe that it is all done for a live audience. Criss has been doing magic for a long long time, and I think that he would be too proud as a magician to use camera tricks, because through that, absolutely anything is possible, there isnt even really a trick there.
bottome line is, Criss Angel is an incredible magician, and his stuff is as real as magic tricks can be.

All right, you cought us. We think that Chris is fake, so, OBVIOUSLY, we are simply jelous of his gorgeousness, and his “talent”.
But really, water isn’t dense enough to suppors his weight, especially if it’s consentrated on his two feet.

The pants hanging over his heels is to cover thin transparent drywall style stilts as well as to create a tiny stream of water to hide this.in the first part his shoes split apart at the heel.he is holding the stilts in his toes. Se necesita ser muy ingenuo como para creer que lo que realiza Chris Angel es auténtica magia o algo por el estilo. Sin embargo, tengo que reconocer que sus videos son bastante sugestivos y pueden causar mucha impresión. Me gustaría verlo en vivo y en directo porque creo que el asunto sería diferente. Es un magnífico ilusionista pero no como para ser tratado casi de manera reverencial como lo hacen sus incindicionales seguidores. Por lo demás, me seguiré divirtiendo con sus ilusiones.

I think Criss is wonderful! My son and I just discovered him & he is the most fascinating person I have ever seen! I just watched the video on this site about him walking on water & it appeared very real and not rigged to me!
