Nikon Coolpix 8800 Reviews and Comparisons
PC Magazine: Rating: Good (3.5 out of possible 5). Bottom Line: The Nikon Coolpix 8800 superzoom is actually an enthusiast camera, and iff you need (and are willing to pay for) sharper images than the other more consumer-oriented superzooms can deliver, this is the camera for you, but be warned, it’s no speed demon. Pros: Longest optical zoom (10X) of any 8MP camera, image stabilization lets you do handheld shots more easily at extreme telephoto, super-sharp images, articulated LCD, hot shoe and shoots in RAW and TIFF modes. Cons: Bulky, heavy and slow, and flash images underexposed plus small LCD.

Mike,
We are doing a project on Kori Bustards in Botswana and would like to tax your memory of these birds breeding in Jwana Park. Please contact me.
Kind regards
Harold Hester

since migrating to Microsoft Vista, I have not been able to download my Coolpix 8800. I have used the USB slot for my jump drive OK but when I attach the 8800, the PC does not see the connection.
Please advise. I was on XP Home edition when everything worked perfectly.
Thanks
