Who would want to buy an Acer today? Acer have had a Fu.... backdoor installed in all their computers since 1998.

http://vuln.sg/acerlunchapp-en.html (the guy who found it)

As an Acer user i just tested myself and it is installed on my laptop. I called Acer Tech, but they refuse to talk about it and promised to call back - that is now more than 3 weeks ago and they still havent gone back to me!

I called them again this morning and was told the same story - will get back to me! so i presume they decide to go the silent way "If we keep quiet it will ago away again"

Anyway until then. Please check your computers and read the link.

Cheers,
