Our 42″ Samsung has the same “crack” issue. Ours is less than 2 years old! We need to get Samsung to fess up to the issues with their TV’s

when we were watching tv it made a noise and the picture is gone and there is a buzzing noise coming from the speakers. And now there is a crack in the right top corner. The tv “pn50a450 samsung” hasn’t moved since it was installed 5 months ago. I have a tech coming tomorrow. I called samsung and told them what was happening and they said it6 wouldn’t be covered because it’s physical damage. I said samsung should admit that these tv’s physically damage themselves.I made the lady agree with me that I’am out $2000.00 she said it appears that way. so i pretty much just rented a 50 inch tv for 5 months for $1798.00 plus $400.00 for warranty

This just happened to my 50″ Samsung hp-t5054 as well. The tech came and took pictures of the crack and told me he is going to send the pics to Samsung for them to decide what to do. I am not too hopeful now.

Samsung is doing the same to me! my tv was playing beautifully and made a pop and crackle and shut off… since then no picture and just a buzzing sound.. i have two techs come look at it and mark no physical damage but because of the crack they wont repair it.. I am thinking of getting a lawyer this week.. samsung is sending out a tech from their company and if they dont give me what we are seeking i am going to fight them to the fullest extent that i can.. we should all join up and do something.. this is not right.. i also have a 4 year extended warranty that 6th ave electronics will not honor.. what is the point of it? i am curious, where have you found many other cases of the exact same problem? i am looking to gather all the info i can to use against samsung..
thanks!

Today I filed a complaint with the attorny generals office today in NY. I have also found many many other cases of the same exact problem. Samsung has sold alot of defective products and should be held accountable and horor their warranty

Joey, good luck, I had to files open with the BBB and they closed both of them with no help. I still have my TV. Maybe the two of us can do more.

I had the same exact problem with a 50 inch plasma. Samsung also told me they wont fix it. I put in a complaint with the better business bureau and with my local TV station

I bought a Samsung HPT4254 and 42 days of great service and with no external force the crystal cracked all the way across the screen. The store where I bought the TV said they do not cover cracks and samsung said they will not cover it. I am now stuck with a 42 in. black screen. Circuit City and samsung will get no more of my business. Does anyone else have any help for me.
