Since the apatch site is down, I added rad.msn.com to the internet explorer’s restricted site list. The adds were gone when I reopened MSN Messenger. Many thanks for the tip, plus it’s nice to not have to install a potentially dangerous patch.

What a great tool!
I hated that ad on the bottom of the main screen and since there are hardly any skins available for MSN 8, I thought I’d have to look at this for a while. Great customization tool.
Thanks a lot.

Great app, finally got rid of that bloody NSPCC advert, who wants to see an incestual father brag about abusing his daughter ¬¬
I would recomend this to prog to all, Microsoft should be paying YOU to advertise within your messenger and monitor space. Dont stand for what they think they can just force on you.#

If all you are trying to do is hide / block / remove / disable ads in MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger, there is a much easier approach:
Add rad.msn.com to your Restricted Sites in Internet Explorer
Search on “rad.msn.com” and you’ll learn all kinds of things.

WLM Universal Patcher++ v0.9.1 will be able to enable the ability to multiple login to Windows Live Messenger, remove and hide banner ads, remove and hide WLM tabs, remove and make the ad bar invisible, remove and hide the MSN search at the bottom of WLM window, and remove the WLM actions pane (the options on top of the WLM contact list).
