Heimdal is a useful GPL browser program, like as videodownloader, that allows you to download videos from more 117 video sites, and all embedded objects on a webpage.
Between its advantages they are:
- Privacity
- Multimedia conversion tool
- Capture links on fly and of other forms, without having to install nothing in pc.
- Linux and other os. compatible using wine emulator.
- File manager (rename files, managing, etc)
- Searcher
- Multilanguage (English, spanish, portuguese, german, italian, etc)

worked once.
now each time it says there are errors.
just use the videodownloader home page. the extension operates through there anyway.
now i’ll spend the next few hours trying to uninstall it because nobody seems to give a shit after they have convinced you to download and install there ‘hot’ product. And to everyone saying how cool things are, when you find out they don’t work for long, go back to the blogs you mouthed off at and correct yourself.

Another method is to use http://www.tubedownloader.info/
You simply have to put the youtube video id in the form and press Submit. The download will start immediately. This work both for normal videos and high quality videos.

The soft I use is Videoraptor, I think it is a good tool cause it downloads directly from youtube and other music sites. You only have to choose the site and the artist/video you want to download. It also converts the files into the formats you want, even MP3.
