Oddly enough, I want Acrobat Reader _7_ not *8* becuase 8 has disabled features I rely (the whole scroll _up_ to go to the bottom of the previous page in single page view) & the toolbars are both ugly & excessively large.
Fortunately I live in a country that does not as far as I am aware offere recipcocity on the Disney Millenium Copyright Act, so when I finally migrate my lazy bum to Linux, I’ll legally be able to crack all my PDFs into usable formats.

You can download the standalone installer for any platform from here: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html?type=distrib. To do so you will have to agree to be bound by a distribution agreement.
