Stop Comment, Pingback and Trackback Spam with New Version of Akismet
Akismet anti spam plug-in for WordPress has now released version 1.15, which is a small update from previous 1.14 version. According to Akismet blog, the revision and new features of version 1.15 include:
- Akismet Spam page format clean-up.
- Adds delete button to the bottom of the page.
- “View Post” link for the comments caught.
- Post title will appear when hover over the “View Post” link.
It seems like the update is minor, mostly cosmetic and doesn’t have any improvement to the spam identification or filtering process. However, Akismet has already does a very good (or should say excellent) job in helping to prevent comments spam, pingback spams and trackback stamps from appearing on the blogs.
