Toshiba Satellite A100 Review by Geekzone
Toshiba Satellite A100 notebook computer comes with the following specifications: Intel Celeron or Intel Centrino Duo processor, 15.4″ Wide XGA TFT with TruBrite Screen technology, built-in DVD Super-Multi Double Layer drive, TOSHIBA Express Media Player which allows quick access to CD and DVD Playback, and other standard features such as Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi), Bluetooth and USB 2.0 ports.
Geekzone reviewed Toshiba Satellite A100 laptop and concluded that the Satellite A100 performs well and it’s nice and quiet. Even under the stress of gaming, the CPU cooling was still quiet. Beside, the multimedia remote is an item that would make using this as a means of watching DVDs convenient. The hard drive is fast enough, there’s just enough memory and there are of course two processors thanks to the Core Duo. The only draw back in being a permanently setup desktop replacement (monitor with stand etc) is the lack of DVI output and some minor annoyances in having to access the power button.
If you’re looking for a mobile desktop replacement system that will perform well with all aspects of things, then you won’t be disappointed with the Satellite A100.
It’s clear from using it that the new mobile chipset from Intel has some serious improvements in performance, coupled with the Core Duo and the integrated nVidia 7300GO these system herald a new level of performance from the notebook in general.

Just don’t expect toshiba to honor their warranty. When my P25-S609 started to self-destruct because of design flaws they stalled until the warranty expired. High-end toshiba’s are NO LONGER WORTH the money. My next high end laptop will be an asus.
