因為一些文件類型也許包含病毒、spywares或者其他潛在的安全風險到計算機，默認情況下送和接受潛在地不安全的文件例如executables和Java語言在窗口活信使失去能力。

要使能和允許潛在地不安全的文件類型與窗口分享，轉移，送或者接受居住信使：

  1. 去工具菜單，點擊選擇。 (如果目錄杆沒出現於窗口的上面，點擊展示菜單按鈕在上部正確的角落顯示菜單)
  2. 點擊文件傳輸，自動地然後檢查(點擊和選擇)使能文件傳輸潛在地不安全的文件類型或者清楚拒绝文件傳輸為知道的不安全的文件類型複選框。
  3. 為窗口居住信使，點擊為自由病毒掃描安裝為信使。
  4. 點擊繼續安裝安全掃描器。
  5. 完成的點擊。
  6. 檢查(點擊和選擇)掃瞄文件病毒使用：。

    this little tutorial doesnt prevent the removal of .mp3 files.

    MS thinks theyre high and mighty by blocking those secretly.

    This does not help anything.

    You need to modify the following REG_SZ value to prevent this: LowRiskFileTypes
    It can be found under:
    HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Associations

    Each and every file extension needs to be separated by “;” (omit the quotes).
    Example: .AIF;.TIF;.TGA;.IFF;.SID;.MP3;

    I recive this msg after i recive zip file that contains exe file using the Messenger in Vista.

    Is the solution with the registry works on Vista !?
