Download Flash Videos from YouTube, Google Video, and Most Other Video Hosting Streams
The videos from online viral video hosting and sharing sites such as YouTube and Google Video are not downloadable. The video will be streaming directly to the embedded player on the web page, without any downloadable link to save the video locally for offline viewing or for transferring/synchronizing to portable media player.
Javimoya’s Video Downloader
Javimoya’s Video Downloader helps you to download online videos directly to your computer, right from the web page itself, without any installation, and works in all operating system and computer. What Video Downloader does is, it extracts the hidden links to the media files that embedded in the HTML code, and displays the downloadable links for you to download the videos. All you need to do is just select the video site’s tab, input the URL of the video (appears on the address bar of the web page where video will play on it) which you want to download into the text box, and then just follow the download instructions.
Video Downloader supports a lot of video hosting sites, including major video sharing sites such as YouTube, Google Video, MetaCafe, IFILM and Dailymotion, plus (some still in working) Angry Alien, ArtistDirect, Blastro, Blennus, Blip.tv, Bofunk, Bolt, Break.com, Castpost, DevilDucky, FindVideos, Free Video Blog, Grinvi, Grouper, LuluTV, Midis.biz, Music.com, MusicVideoCodes.info, MySpace Video Code, PcPlanets, Pixparty, Putfile, REVVER, Sharkle, StreetFire, That Video Site, The One Network, VideoCodes4U, VideoCodesWorld, VideoCodeZone, vidiLife, VIDNET.com, Vimeo, vSocial, Web62.com and ZippyVideos.

KeepVid - Want it, Keep it
Another similar service to enable video addicts to download and keep the videos is KeepVid. Exactly the same user interface with Ravi’s Video Downloaders, KeepVid has more video sites where you can grab the videos. (KeepVid claims Spanish blog Javimoya copied KeepVid website and functionality).
The video sharing sites that KeepVid able to process includes Angry Alien, ArtistDirect, Blastro, Blennus, Blip.tv, Bofunk, Bolt, Break.com, Castpost, Current TV, Dailymotion, DevilDucky, FindVideos, Free Video Blog, Google Video, Grinvi, Grouper, iFilm, LuluTV, Metacafe, Midis.biz, Music.com, MusicVideoCodes.info, MySpace, MySpace Video Code, Newgrounds, PcPlanets, Pixparty, Putfile, REVVER, Sharkle, StreetFire, That Video Site, The One Network, VideoCodes4U, VideoCodesWorld, VideoCodeZone, vidiLife, VIDNET.com, Vimeo, vSocial, Web62.com, YouTube and ZippyVideos.
Download with KeepVid.
fM Google, Youtube & Ifilm Video Downloader
Another alternative is to use fM Google, Youtube & Ifilm Video Downloader, although as the title suggested, it’s only limited to download videos hosted on IFILM, Google Video and YouTube. The site will also decode and extract the actual download links to the videos once you input the URL of the page where video normally loaded.
Download videos with fM Google, Youtube & Ifilm Video Downloader.
Greasemonkeying with Google Video and YouTube
If you use Mozilla Firefox, you will be able to download clips to your computer whether for offline browsing or transcoding/syncing to portable devices with Joshua Kinberg’s scripts and plug-ins for Greasemonkey extension for Firefox.
There are 2 scripts available to download from Google Video and YouTube:
Google Video Getter
YouTube To Me
Greasemonkey extension for Firefox needs to be install before using the scripts. After installing Greasemonkey, relaunch Firefox, then right-click the links above and select “Install User Script”. After installing, a prominent download link will appear on the top of web page whenever you browse to a Google Video or YouTube video page.
A small utility ables to download videos from Youtube, Google Video, Metacafe, MySpace, DailyMotion, Pornotube, and many other similar sites, and then convert and save them in AVI or MPG format.
Download YouTube flash videos by simply adding a “kiss”.
aTube Catcher or YouTube Video Catcher
All-in-one program to download and convert videos from YouTube, XTube, Pornotube, DailyMotion, MySpace, Google Video, Yahoo!, Stage6, and also any flash video files.
Download video from popular video sharing sites by just one-click on bookmark or favorite, without the need to go through third party website.
Manual Steps for Videos Played in Microsoft Media Player
If you found a video that plays directly in Microsoft Media Player, try to right click on the movie display screen and then select properties. The last property - Location - will contain URL link to the media file. If the URL ends with .wmv, .mpg or other extension, except .asx, the video or the media file can be downloaded by any download manager by using the link.
If the link ended with .asx, .wvx or other similar extension, open with notepad and find the line starting with mms:. The mss: link can be downloaded by using FlashGet.
If the video is embedded in a web page, then click on View -> Source (in IE), Page Source (in Firefox), and search for video files extensions such as .mwv, .mov, .mov and etc.
Manual Steps for Videos Played in Quicktime and Real Player
Videos and media files in .swf or .rm format, try to use URL Snooper. URL Snooper is a program to help users locate the urls of audio and video files so that they can be recorded.
You can also use the View Source Code method to search for the link to videos yourself.
Notes
Most videos will be in the .mwv, .mov, .avi, .mp4, .swf or .flv format. To play a .flv media file, you will need FLV Player, or VLC Player.

How does one download from a site that is not listed (not so popular)? E.g. http://www.imageeditingsecrets.com/course/6/6CS/
Generally, how can one download images or videos that are hidden by way of flash loaders? How would one find out the exact location of the image of video?
Please send me info if you can.

[...] As mentioned above, Windows DreamScene supports user generated contents, videos, animated pictures, tools and enhancements. Once Vista is generally available, it’s believe that you will be able to find a lot of websites and repositories hosting and distributing huge gallery of contents for DreamScene, such as at Dream.WinCustomize.com. It’s also possible to download video clips from video sharing sites such as Youtube, Google Video, Metacafe, iFilm, DailyMotion and etc, convert the video to DreamScene supported format and set the video as wallpaper, albeit the video will be of low quality. [...] Video sharing sites has gaining increasing popularity every new day, with a lot of fresh and unique contents, videos and movies been uploaded into Youtube, Google Video, Metacafe, DailyMotion, Grinvi and other video hosting websites by individual user every minutes. You may want to download, grab and keep some of these videos or movies, and then burn them to CD or DVD for offline viewing. Previously, to do so, you have to firstly, download the flash video (the default video format that most video social sites are using) from online video host into your local hard disk, or download using video bookmarklet, and then convert the flash video in .flv extension and format to other popular media format such as .avi and .mpg format. Now, with VDownload, or Web Video Downloader, you can download the flash video from Youtube, Google Video, Grinvi and DailyMotion, and then convert the flash video automatically into easily portable video format .avi, .mpg (mpeg video format) or .psp (Sony PlayStation Portable compatible format), with just 1 click. With Web Video Downloader (VDownloader), you will download videos in .avi or .mpg format that instantly playable in player such as Windows Media Player, instead of in flash video .flv format. [...]
