ZTE ZXDSL 831 ADSL Modem Default Factory Password
ZTE ZXDSL 831 is an ADSL modem that enables you to connect to Internet via high speed broadband, with built-in firewall and Ethernet interface. The modem has been given by ISPs, such as TMNet (a subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia) to their ADSL broadband subscribers.
If you want to log on the the ZTE ZXDSL 831 ADSL modem to configure the modem settings, you will need a user name and password. Default factory password listed below can be used to login. If you are not given, or simply do not have, or have forgotten the user name and password, you can reset the modem by long-pressing the ‘reset’ button.
You can now try to log on to the modem by browsing to http://192.168.1.1/, and login with the following default factory password:
User ID: ADSL
Password: expert03

you can use this modem to connect tow PC’s, one connected to the USB port and the other to the ethernet port;the CD driver of the router is required

My ZXDSL 831 series modem was not registered in my control panel but it is working and I can use the internet, is this normal or they done something I couldnt configure it?

There is problem to configure the ZTE- Type 1 modem in router mode .Kindly give reply i am working in BSNL where rural broadband project is implimented in INDIA. Also send me technical document online.

you have to performe an reset to your modem by presing the reset button after you have this :
ip of your modem 192.168.1.1
default user : ZXDSL
default pass : ZXDSL

I thing the username and the pass word the succeeded with me are the same ,just use Admin as a pass word and username.

I am having the router of zte in the name of zxdsl 831 series and i want to configure that router for the use of bsnl broad band and i need the setting of that as i was been cheated by a guy he told me that the roter belong to bsnl but it acctuly belong to tata so hoping for the seeting as soon as posibl

My friend has a ZTE – ZXDSL831 series modem in him home and because I have Vista I cant use the internet.. Is there some way to make the divers work in the vista system? or to get in to the internet via this modem when using vista?

I’m trying to get some password for my ZXDSL 831 series modem. The ones i already found (like above) don’t work…. unfortunately.
I am now in China, maybe that cand explain why.
Can anyone send to me the manual of this modem, the website of Zte is giving me hard time to get the manual.

Supporto tecnico—Accesso al server FTP—Directory ADSL—Directory DSL-200-c1—
Directory Driver—DSL-200 vista driver.zip(aggiornato al 30/05/2007).
Nella cartella Vista driver beta, fate partire il file “setup”(44kb) e il gioco è fatto!
I parametri ADSL li potete modificare dopo l’installazione da Configura, nel menu Start-
Programmi-D-Link ADSL Modem.
