ZTE ZXDSL 831 ADSL Modem Default Factory Password
ZTE ZXDSL 831 is an ADSL modem that enables you to connect to Internet via high speed broadband, with built-in firewall and Ethernet interface. The modem has been given by ISPs, such as TMNet (a subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia) to their ADSL broadband subscribers.
If you want to log on the the ZTE ZXDSL 831 ADSL modem to configure the modem settings, you will need a user name and password. Default factory password listed below can be used to login. If you are not given, or simply do not have, or have forgotten the user name and password, you can reset the modem by long-pressing the ‘reset’ button.
You can now try to log on to the modem by browsing to http://192.168.1.1/, and login with the following default factory password:
User ID: ADSL
Password: expert03

Type 192.168.1.1 in explorer
then password is
Username: ZXDSL
Password: ZXDSL
Then u change ur configuration setting

I need help to install my mentor ADSL-FR4 router to my ZXDSL 831 modem supplied by telephone. It is working fine when I don’t connect the router to the modem. But when I connect the router to the modem it does not connect and goes an error 815. Can anyone help me please.

I need the vista drive for the modem of the ZTE telephone system to enter the internet . I was using it using ( standrad 36000 bps modem) provided by windows Xp as mentioned in the ZTE catalouge . what with Vista it was not mentioned

Hi all, i had ZTE ZXDSL 831 Series ADSL modem.
I am unable to connect to the Internet using this (I had taken BSNL Broadband Conn) modem.

Have found this page in google just before finding a full modem’s manual
Here’s an excerpt from manual:
1) For ZXDSL 831V4.0_B04, the super username and password are “ZXDSL” and “ZXDSL”.
2) For ZXDSL 831V4.0.1_B04, the super username and password are “administrator” and “ad1606″.
3) For ZXDSL 831V4.0_B04 and ZXDSL 831V4.0.1_B04, the common username and password are “user” and “user”.
